Why?

My perspective was shaped along the Wasatch Mountains, where I developed interest in how objects support our lives. I work in a range of experiences. From peak life and death, to a sunlit morning at the breakfast table.

Great design comes from aligning use, material, and manufacturing. Objects should speak clearly. Materials should be honest. Manufacturing should be simple when it can be. If it feels grounded, these qualities are probably present.

I value new perspectives, and critical takes on the traditional typologies. However, true design takes time and adoption into invisibility. These background objects cradle our lives, and we have a responsibility to set them up to be helpful to all people.

I try to make objects that help people live a little more deliberately, and hopefully a little more kindly.
